The Farmhouse Soap Company

About Me

Hi, my name is Elaine and I have just started this company here in my old farmhouse in the north east of Scotland, a beautiful part of the country.

Not only am I interested in Natural products I am also a keen gardener. I have a great veggie garden now and have harvested my potatoes for the winter and some of vegetables have been frozen. There is still alot more to pick. I shall be storing many over the winter in the shed as well as freezing those which cannot be stored. I also have chickens now. I have a Light Sussex with 8 chicks who are about 3 weeks old now and 3 other hens who hopefully should be ready to lay about at the end of September. Like my garden they are being grown organically and they are free range.
I recycle everything I can and reuse everything where possible. I buy locally and try to reduce my airmiles as much as possible with my foodstuffs. At the moment my vegetables are down to yards from the garden not miles around the world.
I planted many Lavender bushes in the Spring, they are now just about in full flower and the aroma is just wonderful where you open the front door. The flowers will all be dried and used in my Lavender Bags and displays at the Farmer Markets and Craft Fairs.

I shall also be trading at the local Farmers Markets in Elgin town centre each month if you would like to come along and meet me and view the products.
